Positions:
1. STAFF NURSE
Responsibilities / Job Scope:
• Responsible for delivery of patient care management and treatment of patient under her care.
• Supervise the Junior Staff Nurse / Hospital Aide / Attendant and other Clinic staff.
• Assist to provide guidance and teaching of new staff on the outpatient care.
• To provide quality and safe patient care according to International Patient Safety Goals and IJN Quality Improvement and patient safety plan.
• Develop and manage care plan for patients and assign duties to other team members.
• Provide assistant to Doctors and other healthcare providers during medical examination and treatment.
• Give reassurance and psychological support to patients whenever necessary.
• Assist to perform screening for all outpatients before Doctor’s consultation, which include visual screening for high risk of fall, physiologic parameters and pain screening.
• Ensure all relevant records and charts are kept in order, in a safe place and not accessible to unauthorized person.
• Escalate any issues pertaining to patient complaint, safety or dissatisfaction whenever necessary to Manager or Person in charge.
Qualifications:
• Diploma or Degree in Nursing and registered with Malaysia Nursing Board (MNB).
• Having current APC.
Additional Qualifications / Skills:
• Knowledge and experience in Cardiology and Cardiothoracic Nursing is an advantage.
• Good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia, spoken & written.
• Good communication and inter-personal skills.
• Knowledge in infection control and sleep study program.
• Knowledge in Infection Control guidelines.
