Positions:
1. SENIOR EXECUTIVE, INTERNAL AUDIT (ENGINEERING BACKGROUND)
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct operational reviews/audits organisation wide.
- Apply a risk-based approach to the review of the systems and controls through the development of an annual programme of audit review work.
- Ensure compliance of standard operating procedures and work standards.
- Conducts risk assessment and identifies controls in place to mitigate identified risks.
- Recommend internal control and participates in enhancing internal audit standards and practices within PR1MA.
- Perform audit procedures to verify that controls are operating through testing and interviewing techniques.
- Analyse and concludes on effectiveness and efficiency of control environment.
- Identify control gaps and opportunities for improvement.
- Conducts the yearly audit plans and audit process with external auditors.
- Conduct the year-end financial audit with the external auditor.
- Document the results of audit work in accordance with Audit Department standards and the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) standards.
- Prepare timely audit report for the Audit Committee and Members of Corporation.
- Assist in audit reviews with Audit Committee and Members of Corporation on a constructive basis in order to develop the most appropriate, proportionate solutions to issues arising.
- Report the results of audit reviews, including management responses and proposed action.
- Perform follow-up work ensuring management progress actions within the agreed time scales and to escalate failure to progress actions as the Head of Internal Audit deems appropriate.
- Perform ad hoc investigations and reviews at the request of the Audit Committees.
Minimum Requirement:
- Bachelor Degree in Engineering (If any specialisation).
- Minimum 2 years and above of related experience.
- Excellent knowledge of construction and property development operations.
- Excellent understanding of the standards of the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) and ability to fully comply with IIA standards.
