1. CYBERSECURITY MANAGER

Job Responsibilities:

1. Develop, implement, and manage cybersecurity policies, procedures, and standards to mitigate potential risks and minimize impact to the IT and company entirely.

2. Develop, implement, and maintain Governance, Risk and Compliance practices from Cyber Security Perspective.

3. Prepare monthly Key Risk Indicator (KRI), maintain Risk register, and report cybersecurity risk status to the Management and stakeholders which include product technology lifecycle, infrastructure, overall ecosystem, and risk mitigation to meet the organization's current and future needs.

4. Conduct security awareness training for employees to educate and guide them on cybersecurity best practices. Raise awareness about potential threats and actively participate in incident response activities which include investigating security breaches, analyzing root causes and implementing necessary corrective actions.

5. Conduct regular security assessments and vulnerability scans to identify potential risks and weaknesses in systems (hardware and software), operational technology (OT) and monitor network traffic for suspicious activity and respond promptly to security incidents.

6. Prioritizing and establishing the systems, network, application system and operational technology (OT) to be aligned with global best practices, developed, deployed, and managed with an emphasize on strong, effective security and risk management controls.

7. Monitor and ensure the systems, networks, application system and operational technology (OT) in identifying suspicious activity, analyses security events or security breaches, proactively detect threats, mitigate attacks before they occur, investigates, resolves issues and ultimately documenting the root cause, impact and preventive measures to avoid recurrence.

8. Collaborate with IT teams and users to embed security measures into the design and implementation of new systems for applications and infrastructure. Coordinate with cybersecurity vendor to schedule cybersecurity activities such as penetration tests and cybersecurity assessment aiming to safeguard systems, networks, application system and operational technology (OT) from any cyber threats.

9. Engage in consultations and focused observations on business needs proposals, collaborating with vendors to evaluate their solutions. Recommend secure implementation improvements aligned with best practices, and conduct regular audits and compliance checks to ensure adherence to cybersecurity policies, regulations and industry standards.

10. Professionally represent the company as a technical consultant for any cybersecurity work processes through optimization of methods and risk management tools according to stakeholder needs. Prepare and maintain documentation related to cybersecurity policies, procedures, incident response plans and security configurations.

Latar Belakang

Located in the state of Penang, in the north-west of Peninsular Malaysia. Though being known as the oldest and longest established port in Malaysia., Penang Port paved a boutique role by serving as the primary gateway to the Northern region of Malaysia and Southern Thailand, serving the basins of the Straits of Malacca and the Gulf of Bengal.

Pursuant to the privatisation agreement dated 31st December 1993 (“Privatisation Agreement”) entered between the Government of Malaysia, Penang Port Commission (“PPC”) and Penang Port Sdn Bhd (“PPSB”), Penang Port shall operate, manage, provide operational facilities, and port services in the Port of Penang to control, maintain, construct, improve, and develop the Port commencing 1st January 1994. Penang Port houses a plethora of services, lending itself well as a multipurpose port that provides unique value towards the growth of industries in Penang. Being situated in Penang is also a major game-changer, as Penang is strategically linked to the Indonesia – Malaysia – Thailand Growth Triangle (IMTGT). The IMT-Growth Triangle promotes private-sector led economic growth, facilitates the development of the sub-region as a whole by addressing complementarities, and comparative advantages of the member countries.
