Positions:
1. SENIOR EXECUTIVE, CORPORATE STRATEGY AND DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION
Key Responsibilities:
1. Holistic Development of Corporate Strategies:
- Develop AKPK’s corporate strategies, including transformational agendas such as the Digital Transformation Roadmap (DTR) and recalibration of mandate, mission, and vision.
2. Project Management:
- Successfully complete strategic projects within set timelines, specifications, and budgets, collaborating closely with internal departments and external strategic partners.
3. Alignment with Annual Business Plan:
- Ensure alignment of the Annual Business Plan with AKPK’s mandate, mission, and vision.
- Implement and deliver planned initiatives through close coordination with all departments.
4. Stakeholder Engagement:
- Communicate and engage effectively with internal and external key stakeholders on AKPK’s corporate and operational matters.
5. Secretarial Matters Management:
- Efficiently manage secretarial matters related to specific committees and stakeholder engagements, such as the Digital Technology Steering Committee (DTSC) and Bilateral Engagements with Board members and BNM senior officers.
6. Ad Hoc Tasks:
- Complete any ad hoc tasks as required by Senior Management.
Job Challenges:
1. Lack of Understanding on Transformation Agenda:
- Challenge: Comprehensive understanding of the need and strategic objectives of the transformation agenda may be lacking, leading to difficulties in strategic planning, prioritization, and execution of initiatives.
2. Resistance to Transformation:
- Challenge: Facing resistance from employees who are reluctant to embrace transformation efforts due to potential disruptions to current processes, mindset, and expected deliverables of the organization.
3. Technical Expertise Gap:
- Challenge: Dealing with a lack of comprehensive understanding and technical expertise in areas related to transformation and AKPK's overall business operations.
4. Communication and Coordination Issues:
- Challenge: Overcoming difficulties in clear communication and coordination with internal and external stakeholders, which can impact the timeliness and quality of deliverables.
5. Multitasking and Tight Deadlines:
- Challenge: Juggling multiple highly important deliverables simultaneously, often with tight deadlines.

The Credit Counselling and Debt Management Agency, or commonly known as Agensi Kaunseling dan Pengurusan Kredit (AKPK), is an agency set up by Bank Negara Malaysia in April 2006 to help individuals take control of their financial situation and gain peace of mind that comes from the wise use of credit. AKPK offers the following services to individuals, free of charge:
- Financial education on the responsible use of money and credit management skills
- Counselling and advice on financial management
- Debt management programme to assist consumers to regain financial control.
