1. ASSISTANT LEGAL MANAGER
Job Description:
- To provide legal services and advice to internal stakeholders on all matters related to PUNB as to ensure PUNB's legal rights are protected.
- To draft, review, vet all internal and external contracts, documents and agreements affecting PUNB's interest.
- To assist the department on any ad-hoc legal tasks.
- To monitor compliance of regulatory and statutory requirements as well as to advise internal management on various regulatory and legal issues and assist in developing internal policies for legal and shariah matters.
- To assist the Head of Department in ensuring the smooth running of the Department's whole operation, staff daily works & performance and may also be responsible for planning, organizing and directing the department's activities.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Law or equivalent.
- At least 7 years in handling legal matters (in-house)
- Must have substantial knowledge and ability to advise on general corporate legal issues.
- Well versed in terms of legal drafting and/or reviewing of financing & corporate documentation as well as corporate advisory matters.
- Background experience in Islamic Financing and its documentations is an added advantage.
- Resourceful, self-motivated, meticulous and able to work both independently and as a team member as well as work well under pressure.
- Good analytical skills and sounds legal judgment and able to identify legal issues as to advise and support PUNB's operations accordingly.
- Communication skills - may be required from time to time to communicate with employees, customers (internal & external), and other members of management.
- Leadership Skills - to assist the Head of Department in overseeing the team in general and may be responsible for their training, development, and performance.
- Decision-making skills & problem-solving skills as deemed fit for the position as Assistant Manager.
- May be responsible for managing multiple projects at once and be in-charge for delegation of tasks to other team members.
- Good interpersonal skills and good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia; both verbal and written & must be computer literate.
- Contract position for a period 1 - 2 years with opportunity to be absorbed as permanent staff.
